SCET DISTRIBUTED SCHOLARSHIPS WORTH Rs. 4.75 LAKH TO 109 STUDENTS



Saini Charitable Education Trust (Regd.) "SCET" Saini Bhawan, Rupnagar (Ropar) distributed the scholarships worth Rs. 4,75,200 to as many as 109 outstanding and needy students belonging to economically weaker families of the society for the academic year 2015-16 in a function held on November 7th, 2015 at Saini Bhawan, Rupnagar. Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra M.P. from Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha seat was chief guest on this occasion. He distributed the scholarships & while addressing the function Prof. Chandumajra appreciated the social & educational activities of Managing Committee of Saini Bhawan for the promotion of skill education especially among rural girls. He also announced a grant of Rs. 4 lakh to Saini Bhawan for the development of infrastructure at Saini Bhawan.

Mr. Tersem Saini, President of All India Rice Millers Association also congratulated administrators of Saini Bhawan for the pious cause being carried on for the welfare of society. He too donated Rs. 1 lakh for the development of Saini Bhawan. Declamation contest in Punjabi & English language was also conducted on this occasion in which 40 students of various schools participated. Winner’s students were honoured with Cash awards. Chairman of SCET Sh. L. R. Mundra thanked donors of SCET to help the needy students of society. President of SCET Dr. Ajmer Singh highlighted the various activities of Trust. PRO of Trust Rajinder Saini thanked the Chief Guest Prof. prem Singh Chandumajra, distinguished audience & students.
