19th Blood Donation Camp organized at Saini Bhawan
Kaka Ram Saini Charitable Trust, a social service organization, organised 19th Blood Donation Camp, dedicated to the New Year 2023, at Saini Bhavan 0n 8th January, 2023. A team led by Dr. Rauli Aggarwal of Rotary and Blood Bank Society Resource Centre, Chandigarh collected 41 units of blood during the camp. Rotary Club Rupnagar, Rajni Herbals Malikpur, District Police Sanjh Kendra and Guru Nanak Karyana Store Paparala extended full cooperation to make this camp successful. The camp was inaugurated by prominent social worker and human rights activist of the city, Advocate Mahinder Singh Bhalian and blessed the blood donors. He appreciated the public service work being done by the Saini Bhavan and gave financial help of Rs 21,000 to the Saini Bhawan for donating scholarships to needy students. Nehru Yuva Kendra Chandigarh zone director Surinder Saini, Saini Bhawan secretary Balbir Singh Saini, PRO Rajinder Saini, Social worker Amarjit Singh Saini also spoke on the occasion. Jaya Saini Development Manager St Carmel School, Olympian Dharamvir Singh, President of Rotary Club Rupnagar Er Parminder Kumar, Ajay Talwar, Gurmukh Singh Laungia, Ram Singh Saini, Bahadurjeet Singh, Rajinder Singh Nanuan, Amarjit Singh, Advocate Ravinder Singh Mundra, Harjit Singh Saini, Rajinder Singh Girn, Gurmukh Singh Saini were also present on the occasion.
Olympian Dharamvir Singh was also honoured
During the function Olympian Dharamvir Singh was also honoured by management of Saini Bhawan. It is worth mentioning that Olympian Dharamvir Singh, resident of Village Kherabad near Ropar belongs Saini Community & recently given Major Dhian Chand lifetime award by president of India.
Shweta Saini given Rs. 1,50,000/- L.R. Mundra Memorial Scholarship
Beside this L.R. Mundra Memorial Scholarship 2022-23, of an amount of Rs. 1, 50,000, was also given to Shweta Saini by Saini Charitable Education Trust Ropar on 8-1-2023. Shweta is doing BS-MS five year dual degree programme in Biology at (IISER) Mohali, which is one of the prestigious Institutes in the field of Science, Education and Research in India. Due to her outstanding academic performance, she was given scholarship last year too. In total, so far, she has been released with an amount of Rs. 4, 50,000 under Sh. L.R. Mundra Memorial Scholarship and we feel proud for she has made best utilisation of the fund by marking her presence in Pennsylvania State University (USA) under Master Thesis Project and wherein she has successfully completed 2 publications under the project in recent 6 months. The Trust not only congratulates Ms. Shweta Saini for this achievement but also wishes her a very bright and prosperous future in her educational and overĀ allĀ careers.
